Recent research suggests there is enormous potential for them to increase their total exports if they invest more in languages and develop coherent language strategies.

In Brussels on 21 September 2007, these issues will be discussed at an international conference, hosted jointly by Leonard Orban, European multilingualism commissioner, and the Portuguese presidency of the EU.
